An interesting digital interpretation of the stirring city of Dubai realized through the title of “ Sand & Cement” created by young talent Amina Khansaheb.
“Dubai has transformed from a desert to a city of cement overnight. Sand and Cement is an analysis of that change. Cement became the skeleton that holds the city together and brings it its glory whereas the sand still remains the part that has reserved the origins and roots of Dubai.
This project is an exploration of how two different landscapes merged together to form a city. In order to create a link between the two different elements I deconstructed the city looking at the roads as the skeletons that will hold together sand and cement. I used the interior and exterior of buildings to integrate the desert with the skyscrapers”.
